Range Finders Selection Criteria

When selecting a laser rangefinder, please consider at least the following criteria:

The feeling and handling of the instrument.
The mechanical built and quality.

The optical performance including brightness, contrast and field of view.

Range finding capabilities:
The range finding range.
The range finding capabilities on dark and unhomogenous objects.
The repeatability of measurements.
If moving targets must be ranged, the scanning capability.
The reticle size and type.
The laser beam power.
The laser beam divergence.
